Refurbishment, interior and furniture design of an old apartment.

The space of the apartment belongs to a 1980’s block of housing. There was a need for full renovation, with furniture to have an essential role to the new redesigning of the space. The first move was to let the space free from unnecessary walls and corridors – as 80’s apartment usually have had. In the open space of kitchen and living room, the furniture that connects the fireplace with the kitchen, it becomes an eating surface, while it also divides the two spaces. The use of oak timber floor and the same use of the material into a furniture allows a sense of continuity in the space both in a horizontal and vertical level.
