This housing solution is endowed with generously sized areas and its functional diagram suggests a way of inhabiting adapted to new ways of contemporary living. It consists of three floors where all social space is located the ground floor, the private areas are distributed in the first floor, and the technical and support areas are positioned in the basement level. These days the exterior is the desire of the contemporary house and as such, the social spaces of the Paramos House are characterized by its extension to the outside. In private areas large glazing and balconies are privileged as well, allowing contact with the exterior and framing a perspective of the world around us. Volumetrically, this solution presents the residential home as a game. It highlights an articulation of volumes, with variations between opaque and glassed surfaces, adjusting the programmatic content in a careful volumetric composition. Distinguishing volumetric moments of this housing solution are the elevator, which takes place as a vertical element of the composition, and the main entrance which recedes from the encounter of the two facades creating a carved shed. However, the circulation zone, the element of spatial unity in the house, is the main theme in the volumetric conception. It marks a separation of the house into two volumes, by his retreat in relation to the facades. This illusion of a gap between volumes highlights the design and composition of the elevations. Spatially, the circulation space also features a different treatment reinforcing its value in the design concept. This moment of transition adopts a distinct surface treatment, which associated with continuous overhead lighting, strengthens the idea of passage, of path. This striking contemporary design goes above and beyond the standardized and canonical models of today's usual housing solutions. Technical specifications Exterior Walls - sanded plaster with plastic painting / sawn granite plating Interior Walls - travertine marble / tinned plaster / projected plastering / walnut plywood panels False Ceiling - plasterboard Roof - zinc and washed cobble Flooring - travertine marble Exterior Flooring – granite cubes / grass Carpentry - walnut wood
