EXPO DECO 2011 TOSO-booth | Hirasawa Futoshi

Japanese window product maker Toso’s exhibit booth at Expo Deco, China’s largest interior materials exhibition. This being the first time Toso is exhibiting at a trade show in China, and a chance to showcase the high level of design and functionality of Toso products, some elements of the modeling incorporates the traditional craft of ‘origami’to represent the Japanese brand, based around the ‘Sublation Wall’ theme used at the JapanTex2010 exhibition, and at the request of clients. The structure of the wall screening the perimeter of the booth uses straight faces as in origami, being both asymmetrical and delicate. While gently showing off the products contained in the booth, the feel of the modeling used in the perimeter is also brought inside, giving the booth an air of unity inside and out and a characteristic appearance.
