Length,breadth,height and depth are the dimensions that create a confined space but 11LIGHT" is that fifth dimension that can alter the above. "Chiaroscura" is an inHerent part of that dimension that creates deep variations and subtle graduations of light and shadow. Commencing on its basic principles, the design elements of this office revolve around a play of light vs. dark, cold vs. warm, bold vs. perspective and subtle vs. glamorous. The Central Core of the offi -the reception has been treated as a significant aspect of the design where a vision binding form lends a distinct character. An organic frame made of laser cut corian creates a stalwart impact upon entrance. An underplay of elements such as the black flooring and muted walls help enhance the impact of the Organic form. A subtle contrast has been created in the flooring patterns to augment the play olight and dark throughout the spaces. A translucent acrylic sliding door behind the reception provides flexibility to open or close down areas as and when required. The colour palette has been correspondingly kept simple- predominately white with shades of grey and st ategic brilliance of the fluorescents. Hues of orange and grey represent an assertion of contrast in the main cabin whereas the vivacious coloured furniture from lnterstuhl adds an electric touch to the space. The conferen(e room has been kept stark with a splatter of fluorescent polycarbonate panels. A mix of cold & warm lights infused in the barrisol ceiling bathe the interiors in a warm glow. LED lights add a mystical touch energizing the ambien€e wAile at the same time being cost effective.The furniture partly designer and partly custom-tailored is soft contoured. On the whole, the space exudes a lively and inviting ambience. The clutter-free space lends a sense of calm and a break from the usual chaotic and claustrophobic work environment; and for the clients - a warm welcome with practical use of space,colours,forms and lighting.
