Belgrade Pavilion '12 | efémera

Concept: In todays economy, architecture and inovation are required to aproach different ways to express itself. Our proposal for the pavilion presents a few ways to do that. Contemporary architecture has to be versatile, practical, and maximize it´s usage. This were the starting points in creating the pavilion; inovative,contemporary, versatile, practical and economical. The panels, represents the form and function of the pavilion. From their regular shape, we created a new meaning, a new function and a new design. The irrregular shapes represents the map of Belgrade city center, and an abstraction of it, that are highlighted, by the use of light. We didn´t just ilustrate a new design and a new function for the panels, but they also represent Belgrade. The versatility of the pavilion consist not only on the exterior of the construction, but also on the interior. Designed to divide into 4 other pavilions, always gives the posibility of different arrangement, acording not only to the environment and event but also acording to the budget. They can function all togheter or separatley. On the interior, versatility was also required, in order to maximize the space usage. The dividing door plays a special part on the interior. They can slide not only sideways , but also in a circular line, so they can easily adapt to the event. Closed, they divide the pavilion, and different events could be held in the same time, exposition , book fairs, etc. The chains, offers a economically, versatile and pratical choice. Easy to install, they offer different exposition options. The sitting arangement was designed to fit the versatile personality of the pavilion. It consist out of 5 pieces, 1 table and 4 chairs. It´s simple and practical design, alows to save space when is needed. In shapes of boxes, they follow the this concept.They fit one in another, resulting a single piece,and separatley to offer sitting .
