The Brief was called Help More Space Required. A Husband and wife both 33 years of age both landscape designers with three children two boys aged 9.5 years and 8 years old and a little girl of 5 years. The couples interests are visual arts, live music, holidays abroad and literature. The original bungalow was built in 1996 in Co. Limerick the property stands on 0.75 acres with mature gardens and is part of a ribbon development. Their request was to increase the kitchen and living space. What I created to help with their limited space. Added extension 40Sq. feet to the rear of the property. With out disrupting to much of the interior of the property. I took into consideration their occupation, their hobbies and the most important factor, that they had 3 very young children. Because of their love for the landscape I wanted to give them a relaxing spacious green area. keeping with the landscape around them I came up with the following creation, I wanted to keep all the materials recyclable and sourced from recycled materials.
