AB ELIS Ltd. are the architects for the Pokrovskoe Educational Complex, a private school campus located in the beautiful hills near the suburban development of Pokrovskoe, nineteen kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road. The developer Villagio Estate has chosen AB ELIS for this job because of their impressive record in creating both educational and residential facilities in Moscow, Riazan and other Russian cities. Pokrovskoe is the first project of such magnitude in the territory of the Russian Federation. Occupying the area of 150,000 square meters, it will include a variety of modern buildings and facilities united by an intricate web of walkways and bike paths. In the design of all the roofs of the educational complex the prefabricated glued and curved wooden structures are used, unifying different types of buildings. In addition to the four main school buildings, there will be a stadium for 400 spectators, a separate day care center, a tea house, and maintenance shops. The area will include an artificial lake. An existing creek separates the campus into public and residential areas. There will be both dormitories for students and a hotel for teachers who are unwilling to fight the notorious Moscow traffic jams. The gross floor space of all the buildings is about 54,000 square meters. There will be ample space and perfect conditions for learning and recreation.
