Our intervention area proposes three distinct urban design decisions. The proposal directly relates its green to the watertownarea green areas.
1) This motion enforces the identity of the entrance to the city.
2) A landmark is created in the form of a land bridge. This bridge relics the historical atmosphere of the wharf by relating its structure and form to boats and the existing ship building ramps.
3) An integrated line, north/south generates a filter that compensates for the various public atmospheres on the East/West axis.
A giant grass hill is proposed extending the park green surface. Grand stairways between the housing buildings to soften the public characteristic of the wharf with the newly proposed shopping street (commercial space) and the semi public –public square located on the most eastern side of the stadshellingen.
