The Bayview house is a new residence in Bronte located on the sloping northern flank of the Bronte gully. The site has views over the adjacent park towards the beach and the ocean baths. The idea for the house was generated by inverting the typical planning arrangement – the living areas have been located on the upper floor with the bedrooms on the lower floor. Thus the living spaces capture the view and the natural light while the sleeping spaces benefit from the additional privacy at the ground level.
