I-GLOO by FRANCESCA MANCINI The I-Gloo project focus on sheltering people in the open air, whether in summer or in winter, providing a highly flexible sheltering unit, which can be located nearly everywhere (even in a sheltered space like the station building), but mostly is thought for the open space. Each I-Gloo unit can accommodate up to 10 people and baggage, let people be seated in a lit rain/wind/sun-screened place, with a transparent door. The unit is made mostly out of Cembrit, with three separate and swinging sections, which can be completely closed or left open if the weather is fine. Fixtures are metallic. All doors rotate, as well as the internal bench, so it is possible to face the sun or to stand the worst rainfall easily. In the inside a pole, containing LED lights operated by a solar panel (put outside on top of the shelter), holds a small circular table with hooks for hanging bags. A full circular bench complete the neat inside. Solid, easy to clean, I-Gloo is highly manageable by customers and staff. A huge palette of colours can be applied to the different sections, making I-Gloo funny and eye catching.
