The home of an architect and his partner. An opportunity to experiment. An exciting adventure. A laboratory of ideas anticipating solutions for future projects. Integrated in a beautiful historical centre of Arabian layout. A fountain, a school, a bakery and a bathroom from where the peal of the church bells can be heard. A typologically efficient solution, symmetrical, for a 5.40 m wide plot of land between party walls. The stairs and the detached furniture, parallel to the façade, act as serving boxes, and define the space at each level. The space flows horizontally thanks to double circulations, whilst on the cross plane the slightly and proportionally separated hollow core planks are placed on the metal structure of the dividing walls, thus defining the different sublevels. A pedestrian street and a courtyard on which to turn the interior space. A proportion of two to one (three bays of 4.5 m) between built volume and empty space. North-South facing and 4 levels defined by 4 ways of conceiving the light. The basement is a drilled cave lit by a powerful diagonal light. The ground floor connects the street and the courtyard and is lit by a horizontal light. The rest areas, receive an almost monastic, zenithal light. And the attic is open to a terrace that receives the light from the sea. La casa de un arquitecto y su compañera. Una oportunidad para experimentar. Una aventura apasionante. Un laboratorio de ideas anticipando soluciones de proyectos posteriores. Integrada en un bello casco histórico de trazado árabe . Una fuente, un colegio, un horno, y una sala de baño desde donde sentir las campanas de la iglesia. Una solución tipológicamente eficiente, simétrica, para un solar entre medianeras de 5.40 metros de ancho . La escalera y los muebles exentos , paralelos a fachada, como cajas servidoras , definen el espacio en cada nivel. El espacio fluye así en horizontal mediante dobles circulaciones mientras que en sección se juega con la disposición de placas alveolares decaladas sobre la estructura metálica en las medianeras , definiendo los distintos subniveles. Calle peatonal y un patio al que volcar el espacio interior . Una proporción de dos es a uno ( 3 crujías de 4.5 mt ) entre volumen construido y espacio vacío. Orientación Norte – Sur y 4 niveles definidos por 4 modos de trabajar la luz. El sótano es una cueva perforada recorrida por un potente foco de luz diagonal. La planta baja se expande entre calle y patio tensada por una luz horizontal. Los espacios de descanso , reciben una luz cenital, casi monástica. Y el desván abierto a una terraza que recibe la luz del mar .
