Skyscraper Village

Skyscraper-village is an upgraded result of a previous project at the ‘Why factory lab’ at the TU-Delft. The original idea was to design and research the option to create a city that is self-supplying in food. My original design consisted of two separate towers who both had different functions in order to facilitate the entire food production for one city. Skyscraper village is a continuous on this in which I wanted to create a building that would function as a self-supplying city of its own. Which would not only function but appear as a city. Consisting of parks, open-areas, dwelling, offices and industry. My view was to recreate the feeling of being in a city. For example, multiple routes to get to one place in the building just as in the city. The structure is build up of four towers connected to each by bridges and platforms, in order to maximize the use of natural sunlight.
