loveless – school chair is a chair series that focuses squarely on the sustainable use of resources. Unloved and damaged chairs are collected from garbage dumps or from the side of the street. The tubular-steel frames of these found items then serve as the new raw material. Upholstery is woven around these frames, or quilted over them. The textile’s own tension ensures a comfortable seat and that the upholstery stays snugly on the frame.
