The CHALLENGE: Transforming an old Jackson house into a modern hotspot. The PLAY: Gilday Architects chose 3form to provide the materials to create sweeping wave-like reference to the fresh seafood fare with an echo of a traditional Japanese design. Gilday Architects, formerly Tobler Duncker Architects, took full advantage of 3form’s quality sampling process to ensure the proper color and gauge was used for this intricate installation. The architects tested different 3form Varia material gauges and colors by placing them on an 8 ft x 12 ft wood stud frame. The selected material,3form Alu Gold 2, in 1/4 gauge provided the appropriate amount of translucency and flexibility. The RESULT: As you enter the space you are washed with a comfortable yet contemporary atmosphere. The old space is completely transformed, leaving room for a great night out on the town.
