ECO-FRIENDLY ARCHITECTURAL MESH New CSIC headquarters in San Sebastian was projected by architect Xavier Aguilar. It is a four-story complex with more than 4,500 Square Meters. Most innovative materials have been specified in it. Eco-friendly characteristics were key question in specification process. Main façade of new CSIC building have been covered with WEBER-440 Architectural Mesh by The Inox in Color. WEBER-440 has main prominence in it with its light games and a sea weaves illusion. This special effect was achieved by installing this mesh in opposite zigzag positioned upper and inferior fixing substructures. Raw material used to manufacture WEBER-440 was AISI-316L Stainless Steel, suitable for outdoor applications by the seacoast. WEBER-440, is a flexible architectural mesh with a medium open area, it works perfectly as second skin of the building with dramatic sunscreen properties. AISI-316L Stainless Steel is 100% recyclable material. Environmentally-friendly architecture is every day a more relevant question. That is why Architectural Meshes by The Inox in Color are becoming more and more popular and why they are being specified more frequently. WEBER-440 in CSIC Headquarters helps to significantly reduce thermal contrasts inside the building. Not only aesthetic question (modern technical appearance) was considered by architect Xavier Aguilar when specifying WEBER-440 but specially its ability to provide the building with highest energy-saving rates by optimizing cooling consumption. The Inox in Color and its Engineering Dpt. offer customised solutions and service to each single project in close cooperation with Architects Bureaus, Engineers, Constructors… Architects, designers, engineers… easily get suitable answers for their projects thanks to versatility of our materials, large possibilities of construction and application, adapted fixing systems, etc.
