nest is a bench proposal for the 2011 Hi-Macs Design Contest.
The organic design of the project is inspired by the comfort and protection of a nest. The Hi-Macs strip is folded and curved to form the seat and the back of the bench, and it changes gradually towards the top: the flat surface gives way to linear elements, branches that wrap the person. This intertwining is not only a figurative effect. At the ends and inside the branches are placed light plants. So nest comes alive at night, transforming into a lamp.
