Gummy Watch | Giorgio Guidi

The project I conceived for You is named “Gummy”. Its purpouse is to be cool and innovative and it is specifically adressed to the youth. Its main structure is composed by four parts; a buttonhook, an hook for the velcro, a watch and the watchband. This latter is made in silicon and it is disconnected from the watch so that it is possible to buy differents models, featured by color and size, according to the tastes of the customer. The watch has a digital display where it is possible to see the time but also other functions, whereas by pushing to its side one can set the time. Gummy represents an original conception of the watch, according to the fact that through the last decades young people have replaced the watch with the mobile phone causing a fall of its usage. For this reason, in my opinion, it is necessary to work on the fashion and the trend of the watch, involving touch and sight with new materilas and colors.
