The building is arranged in ground floor favouring the ecological value of the plot, minimizing the impact of the construction and complying with accessibility criteria. Bearing in mind the characteristics of the urban environment ‐with great open spaces and towers of big height‐, it is projected a building that tries to create its own scale and to protect itself.

At the same time, the diversification of activities in the Kinder Garden makes it advisable to separate the functions, grouping those with a common development and use. For all this, the Kinder Garden is conceived with three independent volumes, interconnected through big spaces of relation and socialization. The access to the building is made through two volumes at the eastern façade.

The main volumes correspond with the classrooms that are grouped, based on the school functionality, in cycles of age; there is a first volume where there are the classrooms of the children from 0 to 3 years. It is complemented with outer open‐air garden oriented to the south. A second volume of smaller length where are developed the classrooms of the children from 3 to 6 years.

These are complemented with an open‐air garden linked to the access of the building and with south orientation, protected from the dominant winds in the area. A third volume, where the collective functions of the school are developed, contains the kitchen, the kitchen store, the dining room, the room of multiple uses, the nucleus of toilets, the general store, the trolleys store and the rooms of facilities and systems with an independent access from outside.

These three volumes are connected through a wide space where there are located a zone of socialization, that forms the entrance hall, and an administrative zone, formed by reception, teacher’s room, administration‐direction, that is linked to the access of the building. The architectonic solution is developed with organizational clarity through rectangular and diaphanous forms that allow an easy understanding and a greater flexibility.

The façades are organized according to their orientation. The elevation of the access (southeast orientation), the opaque façades with few holes, express the will of the building to protect itself from the environment. There are glazed fronts that allow to the contemplation of the garden and a generous natural lighting, towards the Paseo Marítimo, with northeast orientation.
