This apartment is situated under the roof structure of an old school building. The original space has an height of 26 feet and a very special roof structure. Keeping these qualities was the most important principle while designing the apartment. On behalf of keeping the spatial quality, the number of walls is reduced to the minimum. For example the bathroom, foyer, toilet and kitchen are all situated on one side of the apartment. A new mezzanine, with a bed room and study area, is realised. The stairs to reach this level is hanging on the floor above. The staircase doesn’t touch the lower floor. In this way the stairs has become the pivot of the house.
