Villa Isola D'Elba | Matteo Fantoni

On the Elba Island, at Marciana Marina village Matteo Fantoni Studio is designing a family house. The project objective is to create a modern living experience with particular attention to privacy, minimal detail and landscape quality. Respecting the local environment with the use of wood, stone, glass and adding solar energy building components the studio plan the volumes, the interiors and landscape of the property archiving a very robust and long lasting ecological design. A steel canopy shelters the perimeter of the building structure and brings together the house as a unified volume. Construction is starting November 2011 and the property will be ready to use be by June 2012.
