concept This is a project for a single person small loft in Manhattan, The space was necessarily conceived as an open space, an existing mezzanine was re-sculpted.The project consisted in redesign the stair, the handrails and the furniture. The entrance was interpreted as a “tube” introducing into the space .A wall bookcase/closet was proposed for a room used as a “container” for books and wine bottles. The material proposed were steel, concrete and white paint: the furniture was custom designed. The aim of the project was to express and revaluated the typical loft space with few consistent elements organizing it as a controlled void.
