Observation Tower | FLO

The architecture is set within the wetland landscape of Vallesanta with a rational, low-impact layout, ensuring environmental integration and sustainable use.

Standing 11 meters tall, it is designed to optimize birdwatching while minimizing visual interference. Organized across multiple half-levels with targeted openings, it offers strategic viewpoints without altering the ecosystem's balance.

The structure, made of glulam and solid larch wood with metal joints and a cladding of variable-density wooden slats, ensures ventilation, durability, and a formal and chromatic harmony with the surroundings. The entrance features a wooden information wall for cyclists and visitors. The shaded ground floor, equipped with seating, serves as an extension of the built volume, a space for rest and further contemplation.

The work functions as a landscape infrastructure, contributing to the enhancement of the ecosystem itself as a form of hypernatural extension.

L’architettura si inserisce nel paesaggio umido della Vallesanta con un impianto razionale e a basso impatto, garantendo integrazione ambientale e fruizione sostenibile. Alta 11 metri, è concepita per ottimizzare l’osservazione dell’avifauna minimizzando l’interferenza visiva.Organizzata su più interpiani con bucature mirate, consente punti di vista strategici senza alterare l’equilibrio ecosistemico. La struttura in legno di larice lamellare e massello, congiunti metallici e rivestimento a listelli di densità variabile, assicura ventilazione, durabilità e un’integrazione morfomaterica e cromatica con il contesto. L’ingresso ospita una parete informativa in legno per cicloturisti e visitatori. Il piano terra, ombreggiato e dotato di sedute, funge da estensione del costruito come spazio di sosta e ulteriore contemplazione. L’opera rappresenta un’infrastruttura del paesaggio, contribuendo alla valorizzazione dello stesso ecosistema come un’estensione ipernaturale.
