A Dialogue of Wood and Light Munich / Germany / 2024
This residential project is a celebration of natural materials, crafted details, and spatial clarity. A consistent use of oak wood cabinetry and paneling runs through the entire interior, creating a seamless flow between kitchen, dining, living areas, and hallways.
The architecture emphasizes calmness and warmth, achieved through precise alignment, reduced color palettes, and the interplay of natural light. Every element from the integrated storage solutions to the carefully framed views contributes to a cohesive and tranquil living atmosphere.
Special attention was given to tactile surfaces and lighting: soft spotlights and indirect illumination gently highlight the grain of the wood, while stone and marble accents in the bathrooms introduce a sense of refined contrast.
The staircase, floating and sculptural in its appearance, forms the backbone of the vertical circulation, connecting all spaces with effortless elegance. Above, skylights animate the corridor with ever-changing daylight, enhancing the perception of openness.
This project exemplifies how timeless materiality and architectural calmness can shape a home into a retreat of clarity and comfort.
