Obiekt Gallery is a space established in Warsaw, focused on presenting the work of artists operating at the intersection of art and design. The interior design was inspired by a walk through the neighborhood, which revealed the urban context in which the gallery is located.

Situated in the very heart of Warsaw, the gallery is surrounded by eclectic architecture — from reconstructed pre-war tenement houses modeled on late 19th-century buildings to modernist structures from the 1960s.
The tall, open space has been divided into two zones: a flexible and easily adaptable exhibition area, and an intimate mezzanine designed for private conversations.

The background for the displayed objects is formed by a glass mosaic in the shape of an arch and an elegant steel wall, both of which highlight the unique character of the exhibited works.

The red floor symbolizes the desire for unique objects — the essence of collecting. The choice of color was inspired by a discovery made during the renovation process: beneath the old flooring, a ruined mosaic was found, in which a single, vivid red tile stood out among black-and-white ones.

The interior features materials such as steel, glass, and structural, hand-troweled plaster — all selected to reflect the spirit of historical architecture while emphasizing the authenticity and character of the exhibited pieces. The honesty and uniqueness of the materials were key. The roughness and irregular texture of the plaster contrast with the smooth steel wall and the uniform red floor. This material palette creates a space that does not compete with the works, but subtly complements them.

The overall composition is completed by carefully selected furniture — neutral, yet elegant and contemporary.

Interiors are not designed for oneself or to satisfy personal ambition, but for others — for people, for ideas, for emotions. Obiekt Gallery to przestrzeń, która powstała w Warszawie i skupia się na prezentowaniu twórczości artystów działających na pograniczu sztuki i designu.

Inspiracją do projektu wnętrz był spacer po okolicy, który unaocznił, w jakim kontekście urbanistycznym znajduje się to miejsce. Galeria mieści się w ścisłym centrum Warszawy, otoczona eklektyczną architekturą – od zrekonstruowanych kamienic przedwojennych, wzorowanych na zabudowie z końca XIX wieku, po modernistyczne budynki z lat 60.

Wysoka, otwarta przestrzeń została podzielona na dwie strefy: elastyczną i łatwą do aranżacji część wystawienniczą oraz kameralną antresolę przeznaczoną do prywatnych rozmów.
Tłem dla prezentowanych obiektów jest szklana mozaika w formie łuku oraz elegancka, stalowa ściana, które podkreślają wyjątkowy charakter pokazywanych prac.

Czerwona podłoga symbolizuje pożądanie unikatowych przedmiotów – ideę kolekcjonowania. Jej kolor został potwierdzony znaleziskiem odkrytym podczas prac remontowych: pod starą posadzką odnaleziono zrujnowaną, starą mozaikę, w której pośród czarno-białych kafli znajdowała się jedna, intensywnie czerwona płytka.

Wnętrze zostało wykończone materiałami takimi jak stal, szkło i strukturalny, zacierany tynk – wszystko po to, by oddać ducha dawnej architektury oraz podkreślić autentyczność i charakter eksponowanych obiektów. Szczerość materiałów i ich niepowtarzalność były tutaj kluczowe. Chropowatość i nieregularny rysunek tynku kontrastują z gładką, stalową ścianą oraz jednolitą, czerwoną podłogą. Ten zestaw materiałów tworzy przestrzeń, która nie dominuje nad dziełami, lecz subtelnie je dopełnia.
Całość uzupełniają starannie dobrane meble – neutralne, a jednocześnie eleganckie i nowoczesne.

„W tym projekcie ważne było dla mnie, aby to miejsce harmonijnie wpisywało się w swoje otoczenie oraz by ambicje projektanta nie przyćmiły prac prezentowanych w galerii. Wnętrza nie projektuje się dla siebie, ani dla zaspokojenia własnych ambicji, lecz dla innych — dla ludzi, dla idei, dla emocji. Powinny współgrać z kontekstem, w którym powstają, i przede wszystkim służyć tym, którzy będą z nich korzystać.” - Aleksandra Hyz
