For Milan Design Week 2025, Élitis, the distinguished editor of fabrics and wall coverings, is
proud to present Sensora, an immersive exhibition designed in collaboration with the renowned
creative studio Masquespacio. Known for their bold and playful approach to interior design and
branding, Masquespacio blends vibrant colors, geometric forms, and emotional narratives to craft spaces that spark curiosity and dialogue.
Sensora invites visitors on a sensory journey, where architecture and geometry transcend their
functional roles to become a language of emotions and experiences. This conceptual exploration unfolds in three acts, offering a progressive revelation of how shapes and spaces influence our perceptions and inner reflections. At the heart of this immersive experience, Élitis’ 2025 textiles and wall covering collections will be showcased through a striking scenography, enhancing the tactile and visual dialogue between materials and space.
The first act introduces the elementary essence of geometry, with small-scale installations that
unveil the beauty of simple forms. As the journey continues, the second act delves into interactive spatial compositions, encouraging visitors to engage with their environment and discover the transformative power of design. The final act culminates in a grand architectural structure, where contemplation becomes a gateway to self-knowledge.
More than an exhibition, Sensora is a sensational odyssey—an invitation to explore, feel, and
connect. By merging architecture, design, and materials, the exhibition redefines the relationship between human beings and their environment, offering a singular and deeply personal experience, where design unveils new realms of perception.
“Sensora” materializes through geometric and architectural forms brought to a human scale that borders on the surreal. The central concept lies in the intentional overscaling of everyday elements, seeking to decontextualize the visitor's experience and stimulate a new perspective on their relationship with the built environment. The primary aim of the installation is to incite
introspection on the influence of space and objects on the individual's state of mind.
This sensory experience unfolds as a continuous dialogue with Elitis' new collections. The rich
textures and vibrant color palettes of their coverings are integrated in a challenging manner within the structure, intensifying the interaction between the visitor and the space, contrasting with the familiarity of conventional architecture and design.
The installation unfolds through three distinct acts, each with a specific proposition:
Act 1: Dialogue with Geometry:
Upon entering, the visitor ventures into a tunnel that houses four sequential spaces. Each of these presents a fundamental question about the impact of architectural forms on mood, exploring verticality, horizontality, inclination, and emptiness. Through impactful visual representations, the aim is to generate a visceral reflection on how geometry shapes our sensations.
Act 2: Dialogue between Body and Space:
This second act invites a physical and transcendent interaction. By entering enveloping circular
structures, the visitor is immersed in a world of sensory possibilities. The combination of abstract geometry with Elitis' exquisite textures and colors fosters a sense of freedom and liberation from the usual human scale. This space poses the question of how the direct dialogue between body and space shapes our perception of the world.
Act 3: Encounter with the Essential:
In the final act, homage is paid to the pre-existing architectural scale of the space and its intrinsic history. However, a subtle connecting thread with the previous acts is maintained through the presence of a semicircle. This space is conceived as an oasis of silent contemplation. The more neutral fabrics and wallpapers from the Elitis collection invite calm and final reflection. In this way, the versatility of Elitis' collections is highlighted, demonstrating their ability to transition from bold and "pop" proposals to elegant and natural expressions, among others.
"Sensora" is not merely an exhibition, but an immersive experience that challenges conventions and seeks to generate a deep connection between the visitor, the space, and Elitis' aesthetic sensibility.
Through this installation, Masquespacio and Elitis invites a reconsideration of how we perceive
and inhabit the environments that surround us.
