2000m² Heritage Residence
Harmony is a State of Being
Signifying clarity and tranquility
Light is an Emotion
Touching memories and warmth
As the creator of numerous luxury residences, Lu Zhenfeng, founder of P&H INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE DESIGN, has always believed that home is the origin of all design, and the most enduring declaration of love among three generations.
Restrained Opulence
In addressing the residential needs of three generations, designer Lu Zhenfeng centers the home around light as a guiding force, infusing familial bonds with timeless significance. Through design, he aims to naturally bring together the evolving interests of the residents.
The 2000m² residence integrates futurism, geometric principles, and pragmatism, using an expansive spatial arrangement to connect intergenerational emotions and artistic inheritance. The purity of space allows personal interests, daily rituals, and familial interactions to become part of the home’s narrative, enabling every occupant to find their place and sense of belonging.
Structurally, Lu Zhenfeng employs circular, arched, and columnar elements to create a dynamic spatial flow, embodying his interpretation of "harmony"—symbolizing unity, fulfillment, and familial cohesion.
The All-Encompassing “Circle”
Three distinct shapes and textures of circles form a striking visual center, where vibrant geometric elements merge seamlessly within the circular framework. In this design context, the interplay of space and sunlight, the resonance of art, and the interweaving of colors create a uniquely distinguished home.
The open kitchen island, personally designed and custom-made by Lu Zhenfeng, harmonizes soft tones and textures with the rhythmic clash of metal, glass, and marble. The bar counter’s patterns align seamlessly with the wallpaper’s dynamic waves, while the vibrant petals of the Snail Chair blend with the intertwining branches outside.
A Home for Three Generations,A Legacy for the Future
"Entertaining guests and fostering intimate moments in a ‘healthy’ environment is crucial," says Lu Zhenfeng. Thus, he has designed a series of social activation spaces—including the living and dining areas, a mahjong room, a wine-tasting zone, and a fitness area.
The meticulous construction of different spatial segments and aesthetic forms visualizes the passage of time, the vibrancy of space, and the rhythm of the soul.
Ascending the staircase, light as a paper edge, to the second floor, one reaches the central circular atrium, surrounded by cozy family art corners. This element echoes the designer's commitment to spatial diversity.
Wherever one stands, abstract textures, minimalist furniture, functional objects, and artworks converge within a broader visual landscape, stimulating a dialogue between space and emotion.
Like the open lid of a grand piano, the architectural columns are sliced and deconstructed—delicate pleats break the rigidity of mass, while layered curves soften stark austerity, presenting a fluid and effortless lifestyle.
The Calatea armchair, designed by avant-garde designer Cristina Celestino for Pianca, and the Energy Garden series of artistic carpets, co-created by British Dame Zandra Rhodes and FULI Carpet, immerse the homeowner in their own secret garden.
For Joy, For Gathering
Through design, P&H transforms the underground multifunctional space into the "core of the home." Looking around, the architectural language inspired by "Le Corbusier style" maximizes the openness of almost all walls, creating a sense of flexibility and freedom. The symmetrical mirrored ceiling and contemporary window openings bring a bright and transparent spatial atmosphere.
White trapezoidal columns stand tall in the foreground, as if unveiling a theatrical stage for family life. The space is surrounded by designer toys, seamlessly integrating relaxation, social gatherings, billiards, and fitness. A tea room and a children’s play area are close by, allowing family members across generations to share time and space while pursuing their individual interests.
Different areas are conceptualized as micro-architectures, adaptable to any functional combination as needed, distinguished through form, color, and scale. For example, the rich, dark-hued billiard table and Italian Edra Petal sofa evoke the spirit of a private club, while the transparent blue-green gradient Ella petal chairs ripple like water, boldly expressing individuality.
The windows of the children’s play zone, freely opened and designed in whimsical square and oval shapes, create a unique and playful perspective for the little ones.
This systematic approach highlights an artistic exploration of everyday life and a narrative of visual storytelling, establishing a diverse spatial ensemble.
The Warmth of Life
On either side of the gallery-like corridor, personal stories unfold through spaces that reflect the identities of family members. After moving in, the homeowner shared their heartfelt sentiment:"Design is like a precise brushstroke—it not only sketches the artistic stage I longed for but also preserves the warmth of everyday life. I suddenly realized that the ideal home can exist both emotionally and tangibly."
The master suite’s headboard wall features vertical wooden stripes, seamlessly echoing the embracing curves of the bed’s backrest and the footboard sofa, evoking a sense of security. Metal accents, alongside wool, lace, knit textures, and the velvety finish of the Païpaï sofa, introduce a touch of quiet luxury to the serene bedroom.
The other bedrooms follow a similar principle, where the headboard pattern sets the space’s main color tone, complemented by high-saturation geometric accent pieces to energize the ambiance.
These design choices reflect the emotional and personality imprints of the residents, blending modern aesthetics with the legacy of generational living.
The dressing room radiates a joyful atmosphere, created through vibrant colors and playful design. Contemporary artist Kebeyo Chen, in collaboration with FULI Carpet, designed the Amour rug, while the artist’s Shadow series defies convention, using art to express an unrestrained and distinctive personality.
In contrast, the mysterious, dark-hued gaming room houses a collection of rare figurines and original artwork cherished by the family. The ultra-soft orange-toned Ligne Roset sofa merges rationality with sensuality, individuality with comfort, striking a balance between personal expression and relaxation.
