Duality Fit Studio is a sports training center located in Valencia. Covering an area of 112 m², the project is structured around an open trapezoidal space, conceived as a unified whole with two clearly differentiated atmospheres.At the heart of the space is the training room, where the maximum ceilingheight has been preserved. Exposed concrete slabs and pillars highlight theindustrial and robust character of the environment. This openness andverticality reinforce a sense of strength and spaciousness, ideal for physicalactivity. In contrast, the reception area, locker rooms, and office—alsodesigned as a multipurpose room—feature a lower ceiling height aligned withthe maximum height of the interior partitions, creating more intimate spaces.This interplay of heights gives the design a three-dimensional understanding,tailoring the atmosphere of each area to its specific function.At the same time, the height of the partitions serves to divide the verticalsurfaces into two sections: the lower part is finished with fine-grain mortar,while the upper part features a textured sprayed mortar, both in warm tonesthat add texture and dynamism to the walls.The vertical partitions, inspired by the building’s exterior and the space itself,play a key role in the design, introducing an element of lightness and rhythmto the overall composition. In the training area, a large folding glass wall withsix black aluminum panels connects the interior with the exterior. This systemallows the space to fully open up to the outside, extending the training areaand enabling outdoor workouts.The material selection reinforces the duality of the space. Warm-tonedmortars and cream-colored microcementcontrast with the black aluminumelements present in the partitions, shelving, and lighting. This contrastbalances the serene ambiance of the service areas with the vibrant energyrequired in the training room.The result is a calm, inviting, and well-integrated space, while also beingdynamic and intense, fostering the motivation needed for training. A simpleyet thoughtful approach, in harmony with the intrinsic qualities of the space.

Duality Fit Studio es un centro de entrenamiento deportivo ubicado en Valencia. Con una superficie de 112 m², el proyecto se organiza a partir de un espacio diáfano en forma trapezoidal, concebido como un todo único y articulado en dos atmósferas claramente diferenciadas.El corazón del espacio lo ocupa la sala de entrenamiento, donde se haoptado por mantener la altura máxima del local. Aquí, los forjados y pilaresde hormigón quedan vistos, resaltando el carácter industrial y robusto delentorno. Esta amplitud y verticalidad refuerzan la sensación de fuerza yapertura, ideal para la actividad física. En contraste, la recepción, losvestuarios y el despacho -pensado también como una sala polivalente-,presentan una cota de techo más baja, alineada con la altura máxima de lascarpinterías, creando así espacios más íntimos. Este juego de alturas aportaun entendimiento tridimensional al diseño, adaptando la atmósfera de cadaárea a su función específica.Al mismo tiempo, la cota de las carpinterías sirve para diferenciar en dos lasparticiones verticales, escogiendo un enfoscado de mortero de grano fino enla parte inferior y mortero a la tirolesa en la superior, ambos en tonalidadescálidas que añaden textura y dinamismo a las paredes.Las carpinterías verticales, inspiradas en la composición exterior del edificio yen el propio espacio, actúan como protagonistas del diseño, añadiendo unelemento de ligereza y ritmo al conjunto. En la zona de entrenamiento, ungran ventanal compuesto por seis hojas plegables de aluminio negro conectael interior con el exterior. Este sistema permite abrir completamente la sala alentorno, ampliando el espacio hacia el exterior con la idea de realizartambién entrenamientos al aire libre.Los materiales seleccionados refuerzan la dualidad del espacio. Los tonoscálidos de los morteros y el microcemento en tono crema contrastan con lapresencia del aluminio negro presente en las carpinterías, baldas eiluminación. Este contraste busca equilibrar la serenidad de las áreas deservicio con la energía vibrante que demanda la sala de entrenamiento.El resultado es un espacio tranquilo, pausado, agradable y muy conectadocon su entorno inmediato; al tiempo que un lugar duro y vibrante quefomenta la motivación necesaria para el entrenamiento. Un planteamientosencillo acorde a las características intrínsecas del espacio.
