Renewal project to bring back to life a dilapidated house from 1890 and its garden in Salento, South of Italy. The intervention includes the definition for a new functional layout and a conservative approach to the refurbishment of all traditional “Lecce vaults”, the typical ceiling made of local stones shaping the shell of a four-pointed star dome. Existing lime plaster from XIX century and other old elements will be preserved and combined with modern features to satisfy the contemporary living needs.
