Pinos Baja Apartment

A complete renovation of a 27m2 apartment for a young professional, whose main needs were to have sufficient storage space, along with a work/dining table.

These requisites posed a challenge, since the footprint of the home was small, where a separate bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen open to the living room had to be included. With all this, our main objectives when dealing with the project were to:

- Make full use of the space to create storage
- Visually expand the space
- Create a cosy and calm interior design

Regarding the general distribution, the change in location of the entrance to the bedroom played a crucial part, as it enabled us to generate more storage, in this case through a built-in wardrobe, and also to relocate the washing machine and the thermos, thus freeing up space in the kitchen and being able to integrate a dishwasher and have more storage in this area.

For the bedroom of this apartment, a goal-shaped closet was created to take full advantage of the space, and in the dividing wall with the living room, a floor-to-ceiling opening was created with a glass fixture, to visually expand and connect the spaces but at the same time providing acoustic separation between the rooms.

Veneered oak and white lacquered wood is used in the cabinetry to create a light and calm feel throughout the apartment.
