Created as an agrarian destination for guests, with a commitment to slow living, respect for nature and admiration for European heritage in its design, Copperstone is situated on 48 acres of idyllic countryside.

Nestled in the picturesque country landscape of Bangalow NSW, and broader Byron Bay shire, the historic and artistic township sets the tone, but as one enters the long driveway to Copperstone, they instantly feel transported miles from anywhere, perhaps even the Tuscan hills.

With each turn comes a new surprise, a different detail, a definite sense of slowness. There is most certainly a felt magic about this estate, through its landscape, its design, and its serenity.

Once a bioorganic stone fruit farm, the estate’s rich volcanic soil is perfect for TRE’s extensive native rainforest planting program, in place to protect Byron Creek which runs through the property and nurture the local flora and fauna.

Taking full advantage of every hour of the day, with ample opportunity to enjoy the beautiful surrounds from sunrise to sunset, Copperstone ensures nature takes centre stage – nourishing both mind and body.

Featuring The Homestead and a collection of recreational facilities including The Games Room, The Pool House, The Tennis Court, The Stables, The Dressage Arena, The Walled Garden, The Sandy Beach, and The Fire Pit, Copperstone is enclosed by 2.5km of custom-built Blackbutt wooden post and rail fencing.

The estate’s interiors have been meticulously curated. With a design narrative that elegantly juxtaposes antiquity and modernity and applies a harmonious blend of textures and moody mélange of warm, rustic tones of pink, rose, ecru and brown, a discerning level of luxury is apparent, providing guests with an unforgettable stay.

Honoring the concept of peace being the ultimate form of luxury, Copperstone is thoughtful and considered and showcases a luxurious environment without taking more than is needed from the land. A haven of peace and harmony where modern elegance unfolds, at ease with nature and the natural surrounds.

With expansive lawns and paddocks, various waterways, riding trails, walking tracks, trampoline, and outdoor dining and entertaining areas, Copperstone is a place for global travellers to retreat in private acreage, to connect with family or community, and truly relax, and is yet another example of the Lane’s commitment to regeneration, restoration, and fondness for European charm.

The Homestead

Set upon the peak of the property to capitalize upon the incredible year-round sunsets, and take in breathtaking views of lush, green pastures and majestic foliage, The Homestead provides the ultimate immersive experience in Mother Nature.

Featuring five bedrooms (master with fireplace), each with king bed, ensuite, walk-in-robe and private deck, The Homestead is large scale living at its finest.

Providing a world-class dining experience, a huge open plan kitchen (complete with state-of-the-art cooking appliances and wood-fire oven), butler’s pantry, cool room, bar, and dining room is further extended by outside dining and seating areas on the front deck.

An ideal meeting place for family and friends, The Homestead’s living room is centered around a huge fireplace and built-in Italian velvet sunken lounge, with high vault ceilings and Vox Populi Chandelier providing a warm yet elegant entertaining area.

With a separate tv room and library, large laundry, powder room and boot room, the floor plan is complete.

Effortlessly matching modern design with the use of organic and recycled materials such as Darwin stringy bark timber (sourced from an indigenous mob in Cape Tribulation) and paring locally handcrafted and designer furniture with antique pieces sourced from worldwide adventures, tone and texture plays a key role in creating a richly refined interior, and a space filled with a genuine sense of calm, relaxation, and timeless charm.

The Games Room

The ideal hideaway for children to entertain themselves or the perfect spot to enjoy some peace and quiet, The Games Room features a tournament size table tennis set up, indoor cinema, variety of games and provides casual sleeping arrangements for up to four guests.

With views of The Walled Garden, The Tennis Court and top riding paddock, The Games Rooms sits approximately 15m adjacent to The Homestead.

The Pool House

With expansive views over Copperstone’s vast gardens and pastures, and glimpses towards The Dressage Arena and Stables areas, The Pool House offers guests endless opportunity to relax, unwind, and become grounded and connected to the natural world that engulfs the entire property.

Featuring a 25m mineral swimming pool and spa, various lounge areas, alfresco entertaining area and parrilla, this space has been cleverly designed to optimize every hour of daylight, making it the perfect place to enjoy afternoon cocktails or an evening dinner poolside.

Wellness Retreat (inside The Pool House)

Complete with a ‘wellness inspired’ retreat, inside The Pool House guests will find the ultimate space which offers a precious opportunity to detox and unwind.

Equipped with a state-of-the-art gymnasium, infrared sauna, steam room (complete with light therapy), massage and treatment room, bathroom and an ice bath that sits on the front deck overlooking The Sandy Beach and broader property landscape, The Pool House truly recognizes the importance of taking time for oneself to nurture both body and mind.

The Tennis Court

Country recreation at its very best, The Tennis Court is located towards the back of the property and is enclosed by a meticulously handcrafted stone wall, rendered in signature Lane tones of earthy pink.

Featuring a tournament classed Astro Turf court, The Tennis Court is the ideal setting for guests to prefect their serve and enjoy a few rounds of county style tennis.

The Stables

Reminiscent of an Argentinian horse ranch, and mirroring The Homestead’s architectural style, The Stables have been consciously built utilizing Australian hardwoods from the original homestead and feature superior fittings and joinery throughout the four stalls.

The ultimate fantasy for any equine lover, The Stables, managed by Copperstone’s stable hand, are home to the resident horses who are always on hand to greet guests.

With endless pastures and riding trails to explore by horseback, an invitation to horse ride is extended to guests during their stay.

The Dressage Arena

Inspired by the Lane’s love of horses and dressage, and commitment to nurturing Australia’s next generation of equestrian talent, Copperstone is home to a full-size fibre Dressage Arena.

One of the star attractions of Copperstone, the endless rows of wooden post and rail Blackbutt fencing, maintained by the estate’s caretaker, ensures that The Dressage Arena remains in pristine condition and is always at the ready to utilise for days spent horseback.

The Walled Garden

Providing a more intimate space to enjoy the outdoors, The Walled Garden features a series of remnant, custom built stone walls (reminiscent of an ancient Tuscan Garden) and capitalizes upon the splendid views to the north-western area of the property.

A magnificent 100-year-old persimmon tree, surrounded by grape vines, climbing fig and bougainvillea layered stone walls, features a custom-built concrete dining table and chairs below its foliage, creating an idyllic setting to enjoy long lunches with family and friends.

An effortless integration of the ancient and modern, The Walled Garden offers a unique sense of charm and tranquillity, the perfect pair when one simply wants to relax and unwind...

The Sandy Beach

Set upon Lane’s Lake, The Sandy Beach is the perfect spot for one to enjoy slow living amongst Mother Nature.

Sit back and unwind, and take it all in. Maybe you will be lucky enough to see the resident platypus swimming in the lake or witness a riot of kookaburra fly high above. Take a picnic and blanket and set up camp for the afternoon, this picturesque corner of Copperstone is sacred, whether used for quiet meditation or alfresco entertaining.

The Fire Pit

With panorama views across the entire Copperstone estate, The Fire Pit it the perfect location to take it all in.

Designed using recycled terracotta bricks and pink hues of sandstone masonry, and complete with seating for up to ten guests, The Fire Pit is perfect for toasting marshmallows or enjoying a full-scale barbecue style dining experience.

No matter the occasion or use, Copperstone’s Fire Pit is ready to romance you, under the light of day or beneath a stary sky.
