Casa Balat is a green, sustainable and 100% energy self-sufficient project, blossomed from a 300-year old farmhouse set in the hills above breathtaking Noto, Sicily. Featuring a saltwater pool, gorgeous gardens and an open air Shala for Yoga, Meditation and all sorts of spiritual practices, it's only one hour drive distance from Catania Airport. The surroundings include the beaches of Vendicari reserve, the gorges of Cavagrande reserve, Noto Antica ancient ruins and many UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Casa Balat offers a private saltwater pool, an outdoor kitchen with BBQ facilities, huge gardens and two heactars of land to explore stunning surroundings outdoor, with an open air shala for those who want practice yoga. Indoor the villa uses a forward-thinking and incredibly energy-efficient air-conditioning and heating system which will guarantee maximal comfort to up to 10 guests, with a close-to-zero carbon footprint for the 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 4 fully equipped bathrooms and the state-of-the-art Bulthaup kitchen.

Casa Balat architectural project breathes new life into an abandoned farmhouse, transforming it into a versatile villa for stays, holidays, retreats, and art exhibitions. Rooted in sustainability, the renovation emphasizes minimal carbon footprint through the use of local, eco-friendly materials like biocalce, cocciopesto, and natural resin, while employing traditional techniques, and at the same time using state-of-the-art green technology like a geothermical system for a/c and water heating. The design respects the farmhouse’s original shape and honors the practical wisdom of its historical construction, preserving the authentic "farmer choices" of the past. The villa seamlessly integrates with its surroundings, fostering a harmonious relationship between the building and the land, creating a sanctuary that is as environmentally conscious as it is aesthetically inspiring.
