Studio In Montmartre | STUDIO KLEIN

The project is located near the Moulin Rouge, at the foot of Montmartre.
The building is a private mansion housing several artists' studios, typical of the end of the 19th century and the Blanche district.
The studio hosting the project has a long history, since it has seen Toulouse Lautrec, Yves Klein and the young Serge Gainsbourg paint within its walls, while he was learning his first vocation.

The owners of the apartment wanted a family living space, very comfortable and well-equipped, but without ostentation.
This fine balance between the search for simplicity and the exceptional scale of the place is the guiding thread of the project.
The materials used reflect this permanent concern; their implementation respects their original nature, wood, metal, stone, coatings are always left raw and readable. The purity of the design, the finesse of the implementation and the care taken with the finishes respect the spirit of the place; the hand of the companions extends that of the artists who preceded them.
The project embodies the understanding between a place, a project manager, and the architect’s design.
