The apartment is located in one of the beautiful 1950s buildings on Via Piccolomini in Rome, an elegant street in the Aurelio district.

The project fits into this urban and architectural context of extreme charm through a language that seeks clean lines and open spaces.

The division of the spaces is defined by pure and simple forms. A single monolithic wall and furniture piece organises the spaces and functions, defining rooms and cabinets and optimising the fluidity of use in the house.

The various material finishes enrich the tactile and sensory experience of the wall-furniture.

The spaces, organised around the monolith, open towards the large windows that overlook the street, allowing the light to redefine the spaces.

In the master bedroom, as in the rest of the house, simple volumes rest on one another, also organising the space vertically.

The main material used in the project is natural oak wood, which characterises the flooring, the furniture, and the two sliding walls that redefine the living area, delineating the study area of the house.

There is only a pause along the crossings of the monolith where the colour and materiality of the volumes also extend to the resin flooring in the same shade as the walls.

The grey Bardiglio marble, with its nuances, seamlessly integrates into the balance of these enveloping tones, defining the kitchen and bathrooms.
