Podere Civitella | hus

The former stable of a farmhouse, set on the hills overlooking the gulf of Talamone, is the location of the renovation and reuse project Podere Civitella, which from the very beginning focuses on two cornerstones: the clients' passion for art and the important historical value of the Tuscan building. In responding to the need of fiting three bedrooms with bathrooms, it was decided to maintain the original two-aisle layout, one for the night areas and one for the day areas. The refined curved walls, placed in the severe rural structure, firstly define with their concave part the spaces of the bedrooms and then build the bathrooms with their convex counterpart, in an increasing in\mate movement that lead to the large circular showers. The living area is divided into three parts: the kitchen with the dining room, the large friendly living room and the fireplace. This enfilade, marked by the pre-exisng arches, allows a communica\on between all the daily living spaces without boundaries. The iconic Ceroli bed, together with the other paintings and sculptures, establish a dialogue with the chosen colours and finishings. The old terracotta floor of the living room is reinvented in the brick coloured mosaic of the night area, the painted beams play with the green tones of the bedrooms ceilings, creating the atmosphere of the new refurbished stable: austere in its external geometries and harmonious in its inner shapes and nuances.

La struttura dell’antica stalla di una casa colonica, sulle colline che guardano il golfo di Talamone, è oggetto dell’intervento di restauro e riuso Podere Civitella che ruota fin da subito su due cardini: la passione dei clienti per il mondo dell’arte e l’importante carattere storico dell’edificio toscano. Nel rispondere alla necessità di inserire tre camere da letto con rispettivi bagni si è deciso di rispettare l’impianto originale a due navate, dedicandone una alla zona notte ed una a quella giorno. Le morbide curve delle pareti, inserite nella rigida struttura rurale, dapprima definiscono con la loro parte concava gli spazi delle camere per poi ricavare con la controparte convessa i bagni, in un flusso sempre più intimo che porta alle ampie docce circolari. Gli spazi giorno si articolano in tre momenti la cucina con la sala da pranzo, il grande salotto conviviale e la zona del camino. Questa enfilade, scandita dai preesistenti archi a tutto sesto, permette una comunicazione tra gli spazi della vita quotidiana senza mai sovrapporli. Il letto iconico di Ceroli, con gli altri dipinti e sculture, cercano il dialogo con le tonalità e le finiture scelte. Lo storico pavimento in cotto del soggiorno si reinventa nel mosaico color mattone della zona notte, le travi dipinte interagiscono con i toni verdi dei soffitti delle camere, plasmando l’atmosfera della nuova stalla restaurata: rigorosa nelle sue geometrie esterne ed armoniosa nelle forme e tonalità interne.
