Vivienda Sur | María Acha

Casa sur is a commission carried out by clients already familiar with the work of Maria Acha to whom they entrusted this comprehensive renovation. All with the hope to give a different approach to the two story house in which they spent their vacations in order to extend the time and quality of their experiences there. From the beginning of this project María Acha and her then partners at Wonbat Studio planned to give a different personality to each of the two floors so that being in each one provided clients and guests with different experiences equally attractive.

The challenge was to achieve this while maintaining global harmony in the whole.

The foundations of the project were the creation of a home inspired by nature.

On the -1 floor a wider color range was introduced, always inspired by the
nature this time with a more playful intention. 

At the central plant of the floor there is a big open plan living room. 
Providing dynamism and personality to this open rectangular floor plan was crucial, to achieve this the ceiling at different heights with large curves was in charge of defining and highlighting different spaces. The roof paper also descending through a living room wall gave continuity and movement to the space.

In the use of materials, the choice was made of natural materials such as clay, oak wood and organic coatings.
