Casa Pinatas is located on the outskirts of Algarrobo, in the Valparaíso Region, on a 5,000 square meter site characterized by a gentle slope and abundant vegetation such as Mimosas, Pines, and Eucalyptus.

The project features a linear structure designed to accommodate three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living area.

The interiors, initially neutral and lacking specific atmospheric characters, are transformed by architectural elements that reshape the relationships between spaces and enhance their spatial qualities.

Towards the landscape, a wooden screen creates deep shadows, presenting the residence as a contemporary interpretation of a cave, evoking a primitive refuge.

The same wall that defines the covered terrace, includes a ramp for direct access to the ground.

A small patio fills the interiors with light, revealing the barely visible grains of the black wood that wraps around the living room walls.

The gravel garden complements the house’s geometry, following the unexpected interior organization suggested by the kitchen’s volume.

The entire building, in terms of both structure and finishes, is made of Pine wood, except for the lower wrap of the interior walls, which is made of Raulí, a red tree from Chilean Patagonia.
