Interior designer Anna Tyashkun defines the concept of this project as "the aesthetics of simplicity." When the owner of this Moscow apartment approached Archimia, she had a clear vision for her future interior. A young woman with a strong character, she sought a space that would embody a unique aesthetic, filled exclusively with high-quality materials and items from the world’s most renowned brands.
“The project began with a rethinking of the architectural and spatial layout of the 75 m² apartment,” notes Anna. The primary reference point was the ergonomics inspired by five-star hotels, resulting in a layout that optimizes both form and function.
Classic zoning principles are skillfully applied, with clear distinctions between public and private areas. Each zone is meticulously designed to create a highly comfortable living environment. Despite the apartment's modest size, the thoughtful design results in a space that feels grand and impressive.
The color palette is built on stark contrasts between light and dark shades, mirroring the urban landscapes outside the windows. The living room, dining room, and kitchen — the main areas where the owner spends most of her time — are designed in strict yet expressive tones, enhancing the minimalist aesthetic of the interior.
Every element of this apartment was chosen with particular attention to aesthetics and quality, transforming the space into a showcase of refined minimalism. The central feature of the living room is the Geo Delcourt Collection coffee table by Christophe Delcourt, which became the foundation of the entire interior concept. Its sleek yet bold design immediately captivated the owner, and its form and color set the tone for the rest of the apartment.
Equally significant is the Etcetera organic chair, a 1970s design by Jan Ekselius. This iconic piece, with its curved lines and sculptural silhouette, remains timeless and effortlessly integrates into the contemporary space.
Custom joinery, crafted from tamarin-stained oak, was designed by Anna and manufactured by Attribute. These elements not only provide architectural coherence but also add functional storage solutions. Whether through built-in cabinets or open shelving, the joinery enhances the organization of the space while serving as visual accents.
The centerpiece of the kitchen area is a custom-made island. Luxurious natural marble finishes lend it a distinctive graphic elegance, seamlessly aligning with the minimalist concept where functionality meets uncompromising aesthetics.
Lighting plays a crucial role in shaping the apartment's atmosphere. Erco’s architectural lighting creates a soft, enveloping ambiance, with nearly invisible light sources made possible by innovative diffusers. All decorative elements reinforce the theme of luxurious minimalism. Cashmere curtains from Loro Piana harmonize with upholstery fabrics by Pierre Frey and Dedar, while silk cushions on the sofa add a final touch of sophistication. Special consideration was given to the smart home system: all systems — including lighting, climate control, heating, and curtain management — are seamlessly integrated into Schneider Electric's smart technology, enhancing both beauty and functionality.
In this project, Anna Tyashkun captures a sense of "northern romanticism" — cold restraint and clean lines that shape a harmonious living space. Every piece and decor element, carefully selected from leading designers in France and Italy, reflects the owner’s dedication to high quality and refined aesthetics, culminating in an atmosphere of elegant minimalism.
