Masquespacio, the design firm that always surprises us with its avant-garde proposals, has unleashed its imagination in its latest project: the Amiko Gelato ice cream parlor in Barcelona. Located on a street adjacent to Paseo de García, this ice cream parlor is not just a place to enjoy a delicious ice cream, but a true sensory experience that will transport you to a parallel universe, where vibrant colors, surreal shapes, and human warmth merge in an explosion of creativity.

Inspired by the Art Deco of Palm Beach County in Miami, but taking it into the future, Masquespacio has created a space where every corner is a work of art. Sinuous curves reminiscent of the era's iconic buildings combine with straight, modern lines, creating a visual contrast that reflects the evolution of design. The vibrant colors characteristic of Art Deco has been reinterpreted with a soft pastel palette that contrasts with darker earthy tones like green, providing a sense of freshness and lightness. 

The exuberant tropical vegetation that invades the space, with large plants extending throughout the corners, creates a fresh and natural atmosphere that contrasts with harder materials like ceramics and metal. The presence of nature not only adds a touch of color and life to the space but also evokes the feeling of being in an oasis in the middle of the city.

Ice cream, the undisputed protagonist of this space, has inspired Masquespacio to create an environment that reflects its essence: fun, magical, and full of possibilities. Organic shapes and sculptures inspired by ice cream are integrated into the furniture and decoration, creating a playful and surprising atmosphere. The pastel colors and soft-touch materials invite you to enjoy a unique sensory experience.

Amiko Gelato is a space designed to stimulate all the senses. Lighting plays a key role in creating different atmospheres throughout the day. Carefully selected music accompanies the customer on their experience, while the aromas of ice cream and plants create an enveloping atmosphere. 

Last, but not least, to make the experience complete the Spanish design studio also designed a range of coffee cups for the venue. 

So, if you're looking for a place to enjoy an ice cream and, at the same time, let your imagination fly, Amiko Gelato is your destination.

Inspirándose en el Art Deco de Palm Beach County en Miami, pero llevándolo al futuro, Masquespacio ha creado un espacio donde cada rincón es una obra de arte. Curvas sinuosas que recuerdan a los edificios emblemáticos de la época se combinan con líneas rectas y modernas, creando un contraste visual que refleja la evolución del diseño. Los colores vibrantes, característicos del Art Deco, se han reinterpretado con una paleta suave de color pastel que contrasta con colores más oscuros tierra como el verde, aportando una sensación de frescura y ligereza.

La exuberante vegetación tropical que invade el espacio, con grandes plantas que se extienden por los rincones, crea un ambiente fresco y natural que contrasta con los materiales más duros como la cerámica y el metal. La presencia de la naturaleza no solo aporta un toque de color y vida al espacio, sino que también evoca la sensación de estar en un oasis en medio de la ciudad.

El helado, protagonista indiscutible de este espacio, ha inspirado a Masquespacio a crear un entorno que refleja su esencia: divertido, mágico y lleno de posibilidades. Las formas orgánicas y esculturas inspiradas en los helados se integran en el mobiliario y la decoración, creando un ambiente lúdico y sorprendente. Los colores pastel y los materiales suaves al tacto invitan a disfrutar de una experiencia sensorial única.

Amiko Gelato es un espacio diseñado para estimular todos los sentidos. La iluminación juega un papel clave en la creación de atmósferas diferentes a lo largo del día. La música seleccionada cuidadosamente acompaña al cliente en su experiencia, mientras que los aromas de los helados y las plantas crean una atmósfera envolvente.

Para hacer la experiencia completa, el estudio de diseño español además diseñó las tazas de café para la heladería.
