Mooring by the Moon | AMDL CIRCLE | Michele De Lucchi

Mooring by the Moon is an installation curated by AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi for Azimut Yachts in the setting of the Bagni Misteriosi del Teatro Franco Parenti. Architectural textures and structures are transformed into the scenographic elements of a large stage, on which an imaginative journey of beauty and technology reveals to the visitor - the protagonist - the new era inaugurated by Azimut for a gentle relationship between humans and the environment.

The Path. Once through the historic entrance of the Palazzina dei Bagni Misteriosi, the visitor is welcomed by a suspended atmosphere, in which the elements of the rooms dialogue with the installations to evoke the wonder of the natural world.

Images, sounds and scents evoke a dreamlike sea, which is discovered through the labyrinth of doors of the old changing rooms in the first room. Large sculptures, shells made with the innovative materials introduced by Azimut – discarded and regenerated fishing nets, recycled plastic (PET) and carbon – stand out like theatrical wings in the second room while, continuing the game of theatrical make-believe, the visitor climbs aboard the Seadeck 6 in a space where furnishings and materials are used to recreate the internal environment of the vessel, designed by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez.

The big moon. The route culminates outside, offering a view from a terrace suspended over the water of a landscape in which Seadeck 6 is moored, the embodiment of the route traced by Azimut to reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption. The yacht, in fact, offers a reduction in emissions of up to 40% in an average year of use. Mirrored shingles in shiny galvanized steel form a large disk inspired by the moon, whose play of reflections emphasizes the dynamic effect of the pattern of light, evoking the lunar glow.
«The difference can and must be made here and now. Not with distant promises of a world to come or with a superficial approach to the topic of environmental sustainability. The boat in the swimming pool of the Bagni Misteriosi is the emblem of our commitment: concrete, measurable and always present," explains Giovanna Vitelli, Chair of Azimut|Benetti Group.

Mooring by the Moon è un’installazione curata da AMDL CIRCLE e Michele De Lucchi per Azimut Yachts nella cornice dei Bagni Misteriosi del Teatro Franco Parenti. Trame e strutture architettoniche si trasformano negli elementi scenografici di un grande palcoscenico, sul quale viene rappresentato un viaggio immaginifico in cui bellezza e tecnologia rivelano al visitatore – il protagonista – la nuova era inaugurata da Azimut per una relazione gentile tra uomo e ambiente.

Il percorso. Varcato lo storico ingresso della Palazzina dei Bagni Misteriosi, il visitatore viene accolto da un’atmosfera sospesa, in cui gli elementi delle sale dialogano con le installazioni per evocare la meraviglia del mondo naturale.

Immagini, suoni e profumi evocano un mare onirico, che si scopre attraverso il labirinto delle porte dei vecchi spogliatoi della prima sala. Grandi sculture, conchiglie realizzate con i materiali innovativi introdotti da Azimut – reti da pesca dismesse e rigenerate, plastica riciclata (PET) e carbonio – si stagliano come quinte teatrali nella seconda sala mentre, continuando nel gioco di finzione teatrale, si sale a bordo del Seadeck 6 in uno spazio in cui arredi e materiali sono utilizzati per ricreare l’ambiente interno dell’imbarcazione, a firma di Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez.

La grande luna. Il percorso tra dentro e fuori culmina all’esterno. Da una terrazza sull’acqua si apre una vista inaspettata, in uno scenario urbano onirico e sospeso, dove al chiaro di luna è ormeggiato il Seadeck 6, incarnazione della rotta tracciata da Azimut per abbattere emissioni di CO2 e consumi energetici. Lo yacht, infatti, offre una riduzione delle emissioni fino al 40% in un anno di uso medio. Scandole specchiate in acciaio zincato lucido formano un grande disco ispirato alla luna, il cui gioco di riflessi enfatizza l’effetto dinamico della trama di luce, evocando il bagliore lunare.
«La differenza può e deve essere fatta qui ed ora. Non con le promesse lontane di un mondo che verrà o con un approccio superficiale al tema della sostenibilità ambientale. La barca nella piscina dei Bagni Misteriosi è l’emblema del nostro impegno: concreto, misurabile e sempre presente» spiega Giovanna Vitelli, Presidente del Gruppo Azimut|Benetti.
