The trendy Outback Lodge at Stadelhofen Zurich has a real Aussi feel and takes guests straight back to New South Wales at the beginning of the 20th century, when times were still rough in the Australian outback. The location has a special significance for the Wiesner Gastronomie family, as it was their first restaurant, which they opened in 1997. To this day, a mixed clientele from young to old, from students to bankers, from shabby to chic meets here, and after more than 20 years we were able to refresh and expand the time-honored rooms, always careful not to lose the character and tradition.

The newly acquired space now enlarges the dining area and a scenographically staged true story from New South Wales, of two rival women's gangs, forms the backdrop for the interior design. This includes new furniture, the lighting design and carefully chosen decorative elements.

An additional upper floor was also added, offering guests a lounge area with a terrace and exclusive cocktails. Pssst, then as now, hidden and prohibited! 

We are honored and proud that we were able to rebuild this traditional establishment and that it has been shining in new splendor since September 2023, but with its traditional charm intact.
