Ocaso Studio - Restelo 33 | Francisco Barosa

Located in Lisbon, surrounded by nature between the river and the forest, the project developed by Francisco Barosa, from Ocaso Studio, focused on designing an apartment as a peaceful and serene place, a distinct atmosphere achieved by the search for peace and introspection. It was the starting point for thinking and reflecting on the exercise of inhabiting the Restelo neighborhood.

The apartment, with its existing construction already defined, was simplified and rethought. Now, natural light starts to be more presented in all spaces, reflecting the intention to create a minimalist design goes in search of transformation and spatial organization.

The entrance area is strategically designed to offer panoramic views of the river and the forest. The interior spaces were rigorously curated, elevating the project to transcend the ordinary and embrace a new level of sophistication.

The essence, abstraction and purity are the leitmotiv for thinking about the project. The choice of materials, the limited color palette and the combination convey to the apartment the serenity so evident in Restelo.

The living and cooking rooms embrace minimalist principles, exuding tranquility and euphemism upon neutral-toned wooden floors presented in their natural state. Meticulous attention to detail and a focus on the purity of materials enhance the contemporary essence of the architectural style.

The expansive glass windows establish a dialogue with the surrounding landscape, allowing for a connection with the river and the pine trees.

Open and bright spaces were created, enclosed by large sliding doors, allowing integration and harmony between them. The thoughtful arrangement not only improve the functionality of the spaces but also divides the living areas from the private areas, creating distinct universes.
