Renovation of an apartment by the Mediterranean that was inspired by the sea. Ashdod / Israel / 2024
The inspiration for planning the project came from the sea.
Every project I begin starts with a short tour of the area where it is located to understand the environment in which I operate.
This time the beach called to me because of the proximity of the property to it and from there the inspiration began to seep in, the sand, the water, the seaweed, the shells made my head think about planning the spacious 170 square meter apartment.
The selection of the shades, the items and even the lighting was about the sand colours that dominate the project, in the travertine stone that was found spread on the balcony, in the kitchen which was also painted in sand colours, but the upper surface actually came from a memory of a rock in the water that takes on green shades over time.
The central bathroom has been preserved for the sea and the waves with a free-standing bathtub that stands next to a spacious shower and space for two sinks for the teenage girls.
The bedroom got a wooden floor as a kind of deck that leads to the wide bed that has a stone covering on the back that stands like a cliff.
