SANS WALLS, meaning opened without boundaries with nature, is an oasis for modern people who are looking for a resort in the city. SANS WALLS is one of the urban resort derivative projects connecting Seoul, Gapyeong, and Chuncheon, which plans to be revealed once a detailed operation plan is established.

Joongho Choi Studio conducted spatial, furniture, and brand design for Sans Walls which offers the beauty of space and perfect relaxation coming with modern architecture, phenomenal mountains, and rivers. As the place is surrounded by nature in every direction, it is designed to blur the border between architecture and the nature and to integrate nature into every single place where one can relax. Integrating nature doesn’t only mean using the outside scenery as an image. The overlapping layers of the external swimming pool, Bukhangang River, and Sinseonsan Mountain that extend from the inner world of SANS WALLS transform into individual emotions according to changes in the perspective or behavior of users active indoors. The individualized emotions that came across indoors, in the swimming pool, in the river, and the mountains become a symbolic medium for remembering and reminiscing about SANS WALLS.

One’s emotions change according to continuing layers offering unique experiences inside the space according to controlling ambiance that different factors come together. The spaces within the long flow guiding to the dining room, kitchen, main lounge, hallway, guest room, and fitness area create each moment's unique scene through the atmosphere created by many elements such as furniture, fixtures, music, lighting, and color connected between spaces. Joongho Choi Studio put elements in space where they play the role and intended to maximize the feelings one can experience inside. The more the scene continues and the more over-lapped, people’s emotions change dynamically. Layers extending to the exterior scenes amplify emotions.

At SANS WALLS Lounge not only the beauty of nature with a panoramic view of the Bukhan River to the grandeur of Sinseonsan Mountain but also Kaare Klint’s sofa, table, LIMAS’ ‘Belt Drive’ lighting and 20th century vintage furniture and lighting designed by Joongho Choi Studio. By extension, green, the brand’s signature color shows an unexpected combination with a unique contrast.
The main lounge, incorporating nature, is spacious, luminous, and open. The high ceiling with the open second floor shows the structure’s unique structure and form, creating a particular ambiance. Also, you can find a special area where you can listen to music. By appreciating various genres of LPs and a DJ booth where you can enjoy the party, you can see that this place serves music for a diversity of purposes.
Music that surrounds the place comes together with the composition of the space and works efficiently to permanently image emotional scenes.

The kitchen is composed of two different types that feel like part of the large flow of green finishes applies to the entire.
One is an omakase-styled kitchen where you can cook and serve yourself, the other is an island-styled kitchen. Coming up half a stair from the kitchen, a space where you can enjoy the view while having a meal appears.
The rooms offer a panoramic view of the Bukhangang River and a view of the grandeur of Sinseonsan Mountain. The floor of rooms is made of warm teak wood and various color combinations, giving a unique contrast and particular uniqueness to SANS WALLS' rooms. Inside, there is also a small bathtub, where you can enjoy the most private relaxation with nature in your room. The bed is designed with different functions and includes a Bluetooth speaker, refrigerator, and storage on the headboard. The uniqueness of functional form can create a pleasant visual experience in space.
The hallway on the second floor that passes through the rooms has green-colored walls and ceilings that create a flow throughout the entire space. The brand color is the main element that connects the unique structure of architecture, various functions, and spaces easily. Going down half a stair, an area where you can enjoy the view of exercising comes out. It shows Choi Joongho Studio's style of using concrete raw materials, main colors that create the general flow of internal space, and point colors of functional elements.
