Casa Volver | Punto Zero

Punto Zero has designed the project for the renovation of an apartment in a 17th Century building in the Monti neighborhood. An intervention that highlights it with a contemporaneity touch, not forgetting its history.
 
The architects have worked on the existing sequence of the three spaces the house is shaped in, creating a new one with a clear atmosphere, enlighted by block color accents, which presents "two different souls: the bright and open ‘public’ house, overlooking a small street in the neighborhood, and the most intimate, ‘private’ house, which pertains to small windows on the internal courtyards and the roofs of the district. “The two houses remain in visual and spatial connection each other " - as the architects explain.
 
Thus, the first living room houses a pink and blue capsule conceived as a reading corner, along with a wall wardrobe and a shades of green small guest bathroom.
 
Continuing,  the dining room shows a floor redesigned with the original “cementine" reassembled according to the new plant, which then leave room for the monochromatic resin, to mark the transition to the kitchen, framed by a glass passage.
Two totems in cobalt blue that contain fridge and oven - jokingly called "Scilla and Cariddi" - welcome us at the entry.
 
Last of the sequence, you meet the bedroom, an essential space that embraces the bed area, and a closet that divides it from the en suite bathroom.
 
To underline the link with the dense history of the former architecture, some original elements, such as floors, ceilings and doors have been recovered and reintegrated in the project, and put in dialogue with new, plastics and chrome presences  in a vibrant amalgam that echoes the ironic, excessive, romantic and nostalgic cinema of Almodovàr” -

Punto Zero ha curato la ristrutturazione di un appartamento dal taglio tipico dei palazzi storici del ‘600 che ospitavano la vivace varietà di abitanti del Rione Monti allora popolare, a cui i proprietari sono affezionati, tanto da aver sempre scelto di vivere in questo quartiere.
Un intervento che lo accende di contemporaneità senza dimenticarne la storia.
Il progetto ha lavorato sulla sequenza esistente dei tre ambienti, restituendone uno spazio compatto dall’atmosfera chiara, punteggiato da accenti saturi, e che possiede ”Due anime chiaramente differenziate: la casa ‘pubblica’ luminosa e aperta, affacciata su una piccola via del quartiere, e la casa ‘privata’ più intima, complessa e colorata, che sbircia da piccole finestre sui cortili interni e sui tetti del rione. Le ‘due case’ rimangono in connessione visiva e spaziale tra loro”, come spiegano gli architetti.
Così, la prima stanza soggiorno accoglie una capsula rosa e blu pensata come studiolo, che contiene un armadio a muro e un piccolo bagno ospiti, virato sui toni del verde.
Proseguendo, la sala da pranzo, con pareti bianche e pavimento disegnato da cementine di recupero a terra, rimontate in base alla nuova pianta, che poi si interrompono e lasciano spazio alla resina monocromatica. A marcare il passaggio verso la cucina, incorniciata da un varco in vetro, due totem in blu cobalto che contengono frigo e forno - li abbiamo denominati scherzosamente “Scilla e Cariddi”- dicono gli architetti, ne segnano l’entrata.
Ultima della sequenza, si incontra la stanza da letto, raccolta ed essenziale nella zona letto, e disimpegnata nella parte più intima da una cabina armadio che la divide dal bagno en suite.
A sottolineare il legame con la densa storia dell'architettura preesistente, alcuni elementi originali, come i pavimenti, i soffitti e le porte sono stati recuperati e reinseriti nel progetto ma animati da presenze nuove, plastiche e cromate, in un amalgama vibrante che riecheggia il cinema ironico, eccessivo, romantico e nostalgico di Almodovar.
