The exterior of the building and its location dictate a timeless interior style for the apartments. The 120-square-meter residence, situated in the attic of a historic building, stands out with its unconventional spatial structure, featuring arched windows, vaulted ceilings, and a main space reaching up to 5 meters.

Designed by Dovilė Švilpienė, the interior reflects a modern-classic style characterized by subtle elegance and the use of natural finishing materials such as marble tabletops, natural oak floors, and Murano glass chandeliers.

The historic building underwent a comprehensive renovation, allowing for the incorporation of state-of-the-art installation technologies.

The clients provided no specific preferences to the designer and placed complete trust in her decisions. Modern 3D design and visualization technologies, however, enabled them to envision the future interior well before the finishing works commenced.

In the main living space of the apartment, functional zones are arranged following the triangle principle, framed on two sides by arched windows reaching down to the ground. In different corners of this triangle, there are the kitchen with a spacious island, a dining table, and a relaxation area.

The main task of the interior designer is to harmonize complex spatial structures and create a sense of unity within the interior. To avoid the visual effect of a low ceiling, the walls and ceilings are painted in a color close to white. All built-in furniture is designed to integrate seamlessly, adapting to the existing slopes and niches in the ceilings. Interior details such as lighting fixtures, paintings, carpets, and wall coverings serve as accents and decorations, adding character to the space.

Great emphasis is placed on lighting in the interior, considering various scenarios and combining different options of both ambient and concealed lighting to create the desired atmosphere.
