We were called to design an apartment that was purchased after its construction, which means that we could not make any changes before, nor during the construction of the building. The client moved from the village to the city, and naturally, the house he lived in was a private house with a yard and a built-up area of 210 square meters, the apartment he wanted to move to had to be closer to his children and grandchildren, he searched for two years. When he saw the open sea that was visible from the kitchen and living room windows of the apartment - Immediately went to purchase it.

The challenge was to make a physical and mental transformation in moving from a large and spacious house into a 120 square meter apartment.

We demolished the apartment and built it from a room according to the client's needs and the new design. The client lives alone, but hosts guests from abroad more than once, so we had to adjust for this purpose. In addition, this spare guest room should use as an office and as a room for his grandchildren who occasionally come to spend a pleasant night or afternoon. This room has several roles and must be versatile.

During a visit to the house from which the client moved, we identified very large spaces and a palette of materials from which we took inspiration, and it was important for us to preserve this palette to a certain extent, both because it is right for the client and will make the transition smoother and more pleasant, and also because overall, the palette of materials is very classic and easy to work with. We turned the 120 square meter apartment from three bedrooms and a living room into an apartment with the same versatile room we mentioned, plus a huge 41 square meter master unit that includes a practice and sports area, a saxophone playing area, a sun terrace facing the flea market area, an open walk-in closet and a master shower room Equipped with a huge shower and lots of storage.

We made the apartment fully accessible to make sure that the apartment will suit his needs in the future as well.

As mentioned, we used natural materials that correspond with the materials that drew inspiration from the materials that made up the previous house and we added our material story into the celebration and the result is before you.
