Casa Erendira | Pepe Ramírez

Casa Erendira is a project developed for two women: Mother and Daughter. Enthusiasts of Mexican culture, natural materials, vegetation, warmth, and the artisanal craftsmanship of the towns in the state of Michoacán, they desired a home that embodied these elements in its materiality: open gardens for a vegetable patch, interior greenery, the warmth provided by natural materials, light, shade, and a touch of mystery to prevent boredom at home. A study-library where they could keep all their books.

A house where 'luxury' is defined by space, light, and shadow. Embracing the natural vegetation of the land and the surrounding context, Casa Erendira does not seek to stand out within the site or cause disturbance; it aspires to be a part of it. Natural materials and gardens with native vegetation are the guiding principles that breathe life into this project. An essential aspect of this house is to create a place of tranquility, freedom, and harmony. Situated in a popular neighborhood on a mid-sized lot measuring 10 x 25, the house design is distributed as follows: it is modularized into three central panels of 10 meters by 5 meters, along with a front section of 5 meters and a rear section of 5 meters, resulting in the dimensions of the lot, 10 x 25 meters.

Casa Eréndira es un proyecto que se desarrolla para dos Mujeres: Madre e Hija
Amantes de la cultura Mexicana, de los materiales naturales, la vegetación, calidez y esa mano de obra artesanal de los pueblos del estado de Michoacán; querían una casa que tuviera algo de esto en su materialidad: Jardines abiertos para tener un huerto, vegetación al interior, la calidez que dan los materiales naturales, luz, sombra y algo de misterio para no aburrirse de su casa. Un estudio biblioteca donde pudieran tener todos sus libros.

Una casa en donde el “lujo” es el espacio, la luz y la sombra. La vegetación natural del terreno y el contexto que la rodea, casa Erendira no busca sobresalir dentro del sitio, ni molestar, busca ser parte de.  Materiales naturales y jardines de vegetación natural, son la premisa que da vida a este proyecto.  Algo esencial de esta casa es generar un lugar de tranquilidad, de libertad y armonía. Ubicada en una colonia popular  en un lote medianero de 10 x 25 el diseño de la casa, se distribuye de la siguiente manera; esta se modula en 3 tableros centrales de 10mts x 5mts. Más la parte frontal de 5 mts  y la parte trasera de 5 mts lo que da la medida del terreno 10 x 25 mts.
