New office space / Architecture studio - Modena Art Studio

The last interior project in 2023, and so far one of my favourites - I present to you the new office space of our company - Modena Art Studio, located in the old town of Novi Sad, Serbia.

The apartment which was repurposed was of great sentimental value to our CEO, so the main goal was to preserve the warmth of the former tenants and the memory of them. Other core values and tools were functionality, visual frames and scenery, colours, textures and playfulness.

The office is abound with details, the primary being the old wardrobe symbolizing the former life of the space, which we refurbished, painted black and reorganized so it would meet our needs. It now stands as the central accent in a conference room, which is separated by steel & glass sliding partitions from the CEO's office, which is furthermore separated by a glass sliding door from a common office space. It accommodates 5 people with 2 spare working places, and hosts a large, modern, black cabinet used for samples, catalogues etc., acting as a counterbalance to the old wardrobe across the office.

The kitchen with a dining area (quartz counter and bar stools) occupies the central area. The wall in front of the counter is made of glass blocks which are a specific design detail of the whole building, so we brought them into the interior where they provide both enough light and privacy. Direct afternoon sunlight passes through them and creates an unbelievable play of light and shapes on the walls and floor.
