This old monastery was converted into apartments, with the beautiful chapel as the absolute highlight. The classical elements of the original chapel were retained – high ceilings, beautiful glass surfaces – and supplemented with contemporary architecture. For example, a large section of glass was installed on the ground floor, emphasizing the connection with the garden and also drawing in as much light as possible. On the ground floor, the kitchen in particular attracts attention with a cupboard wall drawn forward, in which all appliances have been invisibly concealed. Two islands provide a cooking and washing function, with Quooker tapware in patina bronze. The illusion bronze natural stone tablets create a beautiful effect and continue into the recessed cooking rings. In the living room, a large custom-made wall unit with gas fireplace from Metalfire attracts attention. Built-in sliding doors hide the TV. The master suite is also on the ground floor, complete with original church windows and dressing room with sliding doors. The adjacent aubergine-colored bathroom has white and green accents and was finished with eucalyptus veneer, which is also reflected in the living space and dressing room. The pattern of the breccia capraia natural stone adds an extra eye-catcher to the bathroom and harmonizes beautifully with the Makro taps in brushed steel. By placing the aubergine-colored bath with bronze technology in the bedroom, space was created in the bathroom for a double shower with bench, which continues into the washbasin. Two glass walls and a layer of organic furniture in the adjacent dressing create a spatial effect and connect the different rooms with each other. Organic forms play a major role in this total renovation. There are the curved doorways, the rounded kitchen islands and the organic steel staircase. And the suspended ceiling in the master suite also got an arch. Indirect lighting with hidden LED lines emphasize these shapes, while the spotlights on the church windows provide colorful accents. The incoming natural light accentuates the painting techniques. The top floor is furnished as a TV room and has a built-in sleeping cove. The seating furniture turns the open space into a cozy place to stay.

Dit oude klooster werd omgebouwd tot appartementen, met de prachtige kapel als absoluut hoogtepunt. De klassieke elementen van de oorspronkelijke kapel werden behouden – hoge plafonds, mooie glaspartijen – en aangevuld met eigentijdse architectuur. Zo kwam er op de benedenverdieping een grote glaspartij, waardoor de connectie met de tuin benadrukt werd én er ook zoveel mogelijk licht werd binnengetrokken. Op de gelijkvloers trekt vooral de keuken met een naar voren getrokken kastenwand de aandacht, waarin alle toestellen onzichtbaar werden weggewerkt. Twee eilanden zorgen voor een kook- en spoelfunctie, met kraanwerk van Quooker in patina brons. De tabletten in illusion bronze-natuursteen creëren een prachtig effect, en lopen door in de uitgespaarde kookpitten. In de leefruimte trekt een groot op maat gemaakt wandmeubel met gashaard van Metalfire de aandacht. Ingewerkte schuifdeuren verbergen de tv. De mastersuite ligt eveneens op de gelijkvloerse verdieping, compleet met originele kerkramen en dressing met schuifdeuren. De aanpalende auberginekleurige badkamer heeft witte en groene accenten en werd afgewerkt met eucalyptusfineer, dat ook in de leefruimte en dressing terugkomt. De tekening van de breccia capraia-natuursteen voegt een extra eyecatcher toe aan de badkamer en harmonieert mooi met de Makro-kranen in geborsteld staal. Door het auberginekleurige bad met bronstechniek in de slaapkamer te plaatsen, kwam er in de badkamer ruimte voor een dubbele douche met zitbank, die doorloopt in het wastafelmeubel. Twee glaswanden en een laag organisch meubel in de aanpalende dressing creëren een ruimtelijk effect en connecteren de verschillende ruimtes met elkaar. In deze totaalrenovatie spelen vooral organische vormen een grote rol. Zo zijn er de gebogen deuropeningen, de afgeronde keukeneilanden en de organische trap in staal. En ook het verlaagde plafond in de master suite kreeg een boog. Indirecte verlichting met verborgen led-lijnen benadrukken deze vormen, terwijl de spotjes op de kerkramen zorgen voor kleurrijke accenten. Het binnenvallende natuurlijke licht accentueert de schildertechnieken. De bovenverdieping wordt ingericht als tv-kamer en heeft een ingebouwde slaapkoof. Het zitmeubel maakt van de open ruimte een gezellige plaats om te vertoeven.
