Everon - Theatres of the intimate

The Evergon exhibition. Théâtres de l’intime offers us an incursion into the theatrical world of Evergon where visitors, subjects and artists meet and sometimes even merge in the heart of the stage space.

For the occasion, the scenography was designed like a theater play area where the volumes divide each of the themes, echoing the hangers which conceal and segment the backstage of a theater. Throughout the journey, behind the scenes reveals the moments that shaped the artist's career and the moments of magic that left their mark.

Through this play of openings and slits offering unexpected perspectives on Evergon's work, the scenography creates an alchemical relationship between the body and space and places the visitor at the heart of the artist's creative process. Throughout his wandering, the visitor finds himself sometimes in the spotlight, sometimes behind the scenes, and notices that the world is a stage where the artist, his subject and the visitor can play several roles and, in certain cases, all these roles. Under the gaze of the works, the visitor is then invited to establish an intimate relationship with each of them in order to question their own place in society and the traditional social representations that are conveyed to us.
